Angie,

In my years of working with parents who have suffered the loss of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth, parents have repeatedly expressed how valuable their babies’ pictures are to them. These photos are cherished for the rest of their lives. More often than not, parents who are unsure of whether they wish to have pictures taken at the time of the loss will be so grateful that the photos have been taken. Photos are the only concrete remembrance that parents have of the baby who has died, and may be the only way that they can share their precious baby with loved ones.
The gift that the NILMDTS photographers are giving these families is immeasurable. These beautiful, professional quality pictures greatly enhance the care that maternity nurses and other health care professionals are able to give these parents. We know how important these photos are…now we know that the photos are of the highest quality, taken with sensitivity, compassion and professional skill.
We at Shawnee Mission Medical Center are so very grateful to be associated with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, thank you so much for your service to our bereaved families!
