I know that some photographers do not want to post the messages they receive from their families, in fear of 'bringing the attention to themselves...' but we think this is so important to share these messages with everybody that visits NILMDTS. We are very proud to be affiliated with each and every photographer listed on our site. They are our heart and soul...
Here is a message from a family directed to
Jennifer Turner, NILMDTS Area Coordinator-Austin Texas. (http://www.jenniferturner.net/)
She writes:

Hi Jen,
I received the picture 2 days ago, and it is so, so nice! Thank you so much for everything you did for me. When I got home from work, I saw a package on the doorstep, and I knew it was probably the picture. I was so excited to open it! My husband really didn't know what I was getting and when I showed it to him he was so amazed. I love the frame. I intended the picture to be just for me to keep in my closet, but the next morning my husband suggested putting it out with our other pictures, which made me feel so good. I'm still not sure if that is appropriate or not, but we decided that they are our babies that we loved and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. You did such a wonderful thing for us to feel more comfortable sharing our photo of the babies with others! You also gave me something to look forward to the past few months. I cannot even begin to explain to you what you have done f or me! I will treasure not only the picture forever, but the kindness and caring you have shown to me by giving us such a generous gift. Jen, I hope and pray that all is well with you. Thank you for being such a big part of our hope and healing. It will never be forgotten! My husband and I are Christian, and we do believe that someday we will see them again, but until then your picture will keep our hope and love alive. Thank you, Jennifer.

Love,
Heidi :)

Cheryl it is great that you posted this.

Jennifer, you should feel very proud and not one bit worried about posting this. I think it helps everyone to know that we are doing something that helps in such a profound way.

Thanks guys, sometimes it feels so odd to hear "thank you" for what we do because its so not about that. I was deeply touched by her email though, she had beautiful little triplets and a so-so picture of them, def not a bad shot, just needed a little work to show off how cute they were, she was fortunate to receive a good quality image from the hospital. It would be nice to think that everyone does although we know the truth behind that.

This work to me is a blessing to my life. Families being in touch with me after the fact, adds to the gift! To know that they are continueing to be touched by the photographs I have given them is all the more reason I put my time and emotion into being there for this purpose. Here is a recent letter that I was very touched by!!!

Hi Brenda,
As I do every day, I just watched Ethan’s DVD and I don’t know how I could ever thank you for what you have done for Dave and I. You are Honestly a gift form God and I ask Ethan and God to watch over you every day. We went to the Dr. and received a clean bill of health so hopefully we will have the opportunity to have you photograph a new birth. (Please God) I hope you have a wonderful day and rejoice in all the gifts you give everyone everyday. With piece, love and hope in our hearts Thank You again and God Bless you and your family.
