When you want to post an image you will need to do the following.
1. Open your photo in a photo editing program (Photoshop, Photo Elements, etc.) and resize the actual physical size and resolution to the following:
Physical size 4"x5" or smaller
Resolution at 75 DPI
2. Save your file as a jpeg image. If your program gives you choices of quality of the jpeg, set it to medium or lower so you end up with a file size of 80K or smaller. If your are uploading a slideshow, you need to prepare your show as either an AVI file, or a MOV (Quicktime) file with a maximize file size of 2 megs.
3.Start your new thread, or a new reply if you are inserting an image inside of an existing thread. Type in whatever message you intend, then, scroll down the page and you will see an area named 'Additional Options'. In that area you will find a button named 'Manage Attachments', click on that. You will now have a new window opened up with five buttons named 'Browse', or if you are on a Mac they may read 'Choose File'. You will need to click on one of these buttons, search your hard drive for your image file for each image that you wish to post. You can place up to five images in your message. After you have your images picked, then click on the button that reads 'Upload', this part will take a few moments so sing a happy tune to yourself, or hug someone, or twiddle your thumbs (your choice). Once it has uploaded the items, they'll be listed in the window, you can then close that window. However, if any of your files were too large, they will not upload, and the program will show you which files they were.
At this point, all you need to do is to click on the 'Submit new thread' button.

I understand the bit about posting a link to my own site, where visitors can view the images.

How can a Baby Book be posted to the nilmdts.com site? Is it something the parents do or photographers do?

Thanks!

Just received my photos & slide show from Stuart Hasson. I would love to share the slideshow. How do I do this?

The photos we can help you with. The slide show, well, best thing there is ask Stuart if he could possibly post the slide show on here for you. What you have would be a very large file. he can possibly save the show in a different format that would post on here just fine.
