Beckett's Story

have been lurking since November 17th or so, but I just started posting a couple days ago.

My name is Carey Johnson (Ayn middle name) and I have been married to Bob for 11 years. I am 34 and my son, Beckett was my first pregnancy. After a rocky journey beginning at about 18 weeks with a rescue cerclage. I ended up giving birth to my beautiful 22 week old Beckett Anthony at 5:30 P.M on Novemeber, 16th, 2006.

Heather Lombardo, in the Twin Cities, took some amazing photos of our short time with him. I had heard of this organization (even visted the site) prior to our birth, so when her services were offered to us, I felt so much gratitude and relief. I have a little side photography and scrapbooking business, and I find photography such an important part of my life, but I knew I would never be able to take photos myself. She really was amazing!

Beyond that. honestly, I don't know how to fill all the blanks in, so I am going to post my blog address, since I have all my info posted there. Our story is posted in December under the topic of "Thoughts."http://careyayn22.typepad.com/2_hours_traffic/

I haven't posted all my feelings and stories there....too many people read it, and I am not ready to share everything yet, but I am getting there.

I haven't been able to type out his full birth story yet...it just seems overwhelming. When I can, hopefully soon, I will post it here.

I am currently working on a letter to Beckett for his memorial service, We are holding it March 17th, his EDD.

Dearest Carey,

Always, will he be your special boy. He's an absolutely beautiful baby. My heart goes out to you, as I know your pain. I have found great comfort in just writing as the emotions come to me. Perhaps you can try and not wait to write the complete story. Even though I have posted my story, each day that goes by has an addition. In my opinion our stories go way back, even years before our babies were concieved. Try posting, what ever you feel, I believe that once you start it will all flow out.

I'm glad that you have found our NILMDTS family. The images you have shared with us are so wonderful. I do hot that you and Bob are doing well at this point. Have Bob drop me a line if he would like to talk to a another man about anything.
In the meantime, as it's been said, share your story when you're ready. Beckett will help the words come when you are ready Carey.
