The National Arbor Day Foundation has a memorial tree program...see information below. The website is also included. I just ordered a set for Dorothy Rose's one-year birth date remembrance coming upon us on February 14. This is a wonderful opportunity to honor a loved one, while helping the environment, for a pretty small amount of money. I chose to have the card sent to me so I can include a personal note.

Trees in Memory

For each $10 donated, 10 trees will be planted and a thoughtful card will be sent. We can send the card to you to personally deliver, or we can send it directly to the family of the person you are honoring.
Below is an example of the card that is sent. The interior will read:

A Donation has been made to the
National Arbor Day Foundation
in Memory of
( Name )
by ( Giver )
( xx ) trees will be planted
and registered in Gallatin National Forest
near Yellowstone National Park.

The trees planted will be a living
monument to your loved one.

Wishing you thoughts of comfort and
peace during your time of sorrow.

I love this! I just wonder what forest the trees would be planted in though? Probably not here in Colorado but it is still a great idea. Thanks!
