Due to a health crisis experienced by Kirk Kief on Friday, I was honored to have been asked to speak to The 20th Annual Gravens Conference on the Physical and Developmental Environment of the High-Risk Infant sponsored by USF Health (University of South Florida) This 4 day conference was attended by 350 health care professionals from all states and a number of foreign contries at Clearwater Beach, Florida. Dr. George Little, Professor of Pediatrics at Children's Hospital at Dartmouth provided a detailed insight about the number of cases of NICU deaths. After a discussion of the NILMDTS history, I played several slide shows of my cases. There was not a dry eye in the room. These professionals are extremely receptive to our organization's goals and promised to return to their respective medical facilities with the intent of inviting our photographers to provide the photography services to their families. Dr Little has indicated a desire for us to return next year. After the presentation there were many great questions and comments. The most memorable one coming from a doctor who expressed her feelings this way; "I always think about one thing that I bring home with me from a conference like this, and I must tell you, that after all these programs and meetings, the NILMDTS program is the one I that has inspired me the most" This was truly the most wonderful opportunity to promote NILMDTS and it was truly the experience of a lifetime.
