Hello everyone! We lost a full term baby girl this past September due to complications from an umbilical cord accident. I have been struggling with finding the perfect way to share her pictures and our story and am pleased to share with you: www.emmakatespage.blogspot.com (http://www.emmakatespage.blogspot.com)
It's a work in progress, but you can go there currently and see her beautiful face and read about our story. While I treasure the safety and comfort found within this forum, I wanted to create a space that our family and friends could go to as well. It's a place where I hope to be able to adequately express what life has been like for us since losing Emma and, if you can spare a moment, I'd love to share her with all of you, my new friends at NILMDTS.
I will continue to visit this forum as well, as it has been such a comfort and great help with the healing process.
Thank you and God bless!
Julie

Thank you for sharing. Your story brought tears to my eyes. When I was pregnant with my Jackson, my older son and I painted polka dots on his nursery wall, and had lots of polka dot stuff for him.
So, I have a picture in my mind of him and Emma Kate in Heaven re-decorating everything in polka dots!
I am glad you wrote about her, by putting your feelings out there, it is really good for you.
If you ever need to talk, don't hesitate to contact me.

( I also chose that background for my blog several weeks ago! I loved it, too)

Dear Julie,
Thank you for sharing your story. Emma Kate is the cutest little Polka Dot I've ever seen! My son was also 3 1/2 when our daughter died. We think she had a cord accident, as well. My husband and I will never regret being open with our son and sharing our daughter with him. He still remembers holding her. He is now almost 7 and as the years pass, has different questions. But all stem from that sweet morning we all had together as a family in the hospital room. I'm so sorry that you lost your daughter and I appreciate your story.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. It really truly helps. We will forever have this "hole" in our hearts, as will many of you, but this forum is such a great place for healing. I can only hope that anyone that has to walk this road less traveled, will find the NILMDTS forum for an outlet.
Sincerely,
Julie
