So yesterday I was at the cemetery looking at where our daughter's ashes will possibly be buried- looking around at some of the "neighbor kids". Most of the babies had only one date on their stones. One baby I noticed was 14 months- and I said something like "oh man" mainly because with a kid older you tend to wonder what happened more- were they sick, were they in an accident, etc. With one date- you pretty much know the baby was either stillborn or passed shortly after. With a 2-5 month old you ASSUME (MANY times being wrong but you still assume) it's SIDS or something. With a 14 month old there is nothing common so you wonder. Anyway so I said "oh man" or "wow" or something- pretty quietly to myself mostly- and the guy that works at the cemetery that was showing me to the infant section said "yeah you could really grow to love a kid in 14 months".
Um, Here's your sign...
