My niece Molly (I posted about her a couple weeks ago) is barely 18 and about 7 months pregnant with a little boy. The baby's father is dying of brain cancer. My mom called today to tell me that Molly is in the hospital and the baby is "poisoning her". This comes from my other sister who never had children so I am thinking whoever told her just explained it so she would understand it- in the meantime I am wondering what on earth is really going on. I am guessing maybe it's preeclampsia? But I have no idea. Anyway- they are guessing the baby to be about 4lbs now but want to try and leave him in for another 2 weeks or so if they can. I am pretty worried about them both and they sure could use some prayers. They are already going through so much with the cancer and everything, I am really scared that something is going to happen to Molly and this baby is going to be left without parents.

Sorry your family is having so much on their plate at one time. My prayers are with you and your family. Keep us posted on how she is doing. I hope they find answers here soon to get her through the next two weeks. With her being 7 months I would say the answers are within the placenta. I pray for good doctors that listen to her and take every precaution there is.

I just got this email from my sister- Molly's mom.
"Thanks for thinking of Molly. It is preeclampsia and I've been spending weekends in eugene while tom (her dad) takes the week. She's quite stable and in super good hands with the team of dr.s and such. The condition can deteriorate quickly but they are ready just in case.
Baby is doing well from all the tests but experiencing a little stress.. not to be confused with distress.
This will be a preemie and in the hospital for a bit but everything looks toward a healthy baby.
I am very tired and stressed myself but thankful tom's work schedule can allow for this.
She's a bit bored but has coloring things and beadmaking kits and such. Keeping a good attitude so that's good."
I offered to come down after the baby is born to do some photos of him with his daddy to remember him by. We'll see what she says.
