I just got home from photographing little Alexa who was born on May 21. She is as cute as can be but has Trisomy 18. I had the honor to spend about 4 hours with her and her family photographing. The love that was in the room, I even got her older brother into some photos!
Please keep Alexa & her family in your prayers. They hope to take her home on Monday if the needed equipment comes in.

Absolutely, I will keep her and the family in prayer that she can go home and spend this precious time with them. Blessings to you for what you've done for this family.

Great news, Alexa's Daddy just called me, she's Home!!! They brought her home about 2 hours ago. They made the hospital loan them the equipment!(I told Mike that it's the squeeky wheel that gets the oil) I'm glad he took my advice. Alexa will be sleeping in her own bed tonight! I'll be going to photograph her at home in the next few days. I so excited for the family. Had to share the good news.

I am so happy to read that they were able to get her home. It is so special to be able to have your baby in your home and be able to cuddle them without all of the medical professionals hovering over you. We had Tristan home for only 10 precious days, but they were wonderful! I hope this family is blessed with many more than that!

Sad news, I just got home from Alex's house. Her Dad called me a few hours ago to let me know she passed away this afternoon. I went to their home to let them pick out an image for the funeral Mass. Mom said it was such a comfort to see the images, I haven't even edited them yet. They just kept thanking me. I just wish we could have gotten photos of her in her room. I may be going to the funeral home to get some of Alexa w/o the tubes. And I offered to photograph the Mass & burial, Mike & Linda are going to let me know. Please keep them in your prayers.

Carissa,
No problem, I knew what you meant.
Thanks to everyone for the prayers, I will pass them on to the family. I'm going to the funeral in the morning. I delivered photos today for the Mass.
