I don't know how many of you know you can get cremation necklaces so I wanted to tell you all of the one I bought. My daughter told me one day that it would be cool to get a necklace that you can put ashes in and I asked her if there was such a thing and she said she didn't know. I went on ebay (ya know they have everything) and I was amazed at how many are out there. I bought my from "cherished memories" and it is beautiful. if you put in cremation photo necklace you can see the one I purchased. They engraved a photo of my son Jarell on one side and his name and birth date on the other side. It hold a small amount of his ashes inside the heart. I have found so much peace since I bought this. I guess I feel better having a part of him next to my heart. People notice it all the time because of his picture being on it and enjoy listening to my story.
Well I just wanted to share with you something I found comfort in so manybe someone else can get that same comfort. :) Carissa

I also have a necklace...I got mine from the funeral home, probably not as beautiful as yours! Mine is just a small silver cross. I love it. I feel naked without it. Your right it does bring some peace. I feel great knowing at least part of my son is around my neck and close to my heart at all times...even though I know his spirit is always there, and I always hold him in my heart. Oh how I miss that "little man".

Carissa, I too have a necklace... probably the very same one too, with the exception that I have my dd'd photo laser etched and not your son's, lol!! I ordered mine from Jewelry Keepsakes.com., and my husband has one too, only his is a cross with her name and date on the back. They are both so beautiful and are certainly our treasures that we wear everyday. It's funny because I am such a jewelry person! I used to always have to have the perfect ensemble of jewelry to wear with every outfit...I have a ton of it really! But now since I have this necklace with her image and ashes, it's all I want to wear. The rest of my necklaces and pendants hang out in the armoire! I can still buy rings and earrings though, lol!

Andrea ~ I am happy to hear you have something you treasure. I put mine on the day it arrived and have never taken it off. I'm sure some people wonder what it is that I wear around my neck, I've had people that don't know ask me and it never easy to have to tell a person it's my sons ashes I wear around my neck. I would feel lost without it. I find myself rubbing it when I am missing Jarell and somehow I find some comfort knowing a part of him (Physically) is on my heart.
