Area Coordinator

We have no area coordinator for my region. I saw in the newsletter that Jessica Roe said we could sign up on the forum. I would be interested in doing this. Would someone please let me know what I need to do to become an Area Coordinator.
I understand some of the information from the letter but want to discuss further.
