Dear NILMDTS,
Your volunteer photographer has touched our life in a way that will never be forgotten. Our baby girl, Brianna Lee Botts was born on April 12, 2007 with Trisomy 18. A condition that is not compatible with life. We were told 15 hours after she was born that she would probably die within the next 24 hours. After a healthy, full term pregnancy, this news was devastating. Our baby girl looked and acted perfect, except for being tiny (5 lbs 8 oz) from the moment she arrived here in this world. At that point I became obsessed with trying to find someone to photograph our baby girl. I started calling photographers in the phone book and was blessed to have called someone who was aware of your organization though not a member. I then went on your website and found an absolute angel, photographer Martha Bravo. We were blessed again because our baby girl hung on to life like nobody's business. When she was 10 days old, Martha Bravo came to our house and took some photos that will take your breath away. She also prepared a slideshow that is amazing. Our baby girl is now four months old, thanks be to God, although her condition is the same and we are reminded often that it is one that is not compatible with life. For us, every day truly is a blessing.
