I thought it would be neat to share our stories of our newest member of our family and your reactions.
In June we had had Payton ultrasound re-reviewed by different doctors because everyone kept telling us this isnt something you miss in the ultrasound. So we had it review and found out the result the second week in June. The other doctors office just missed it. BOth other technicans found it without being told he even had it.All that month I was again seeing my world torn apart. They said had they just found it his survival would have been 90% better. SO that hole month I was an emotional reck. I cried and was mad and just didnt feel like life was ever going to be better.
The first week of July I noticed I missed my period and took a test...Negitive. Couple more days no period , second test, negitive. A couple days later took another negitive and I was like okay so I took one more test and again negitive. So I boiled it down to I was just over stressed and thats why I had missed that month. Well the end of July rolls around and still no period and it was time for the next one to be here. I took another test and BAM it was pregnant! So just to double check I took another one the next morning and again a positive, so a week later went to my new doctor and found out from an ultrasound that I was 8 weeks along... Now Iam 22 weeks along with a "healthy" baby boy due to be here in March.
Hope all is going well with everyone elses pregnancies! Lyssa

Hi Lyssa,

Although I am now currently not pregnant, just had Caden 7 weeks ago today, I want to share how we found out we were pregnant with him after our daughter Emma passed away last October.

We were in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico enjoying a nice relaxing vacation January 26-February 2, 2007. January 25th is the day that Emma would have been born via a scheduled c-section had she lived past 6 months along. So we thought that would be a perfect time to get away from what would have been. Friday February 2nd was actually her original due date. Well Friday February 2nd came, our last day of vacation in Playa Del Carmen. I was due to receive my period Wednesday January 31st. That day came and went with no period.I immediately quite drinking incase I was pregnant. So Thursday February 1st my husband and I walked 7 blocks or more to a Wal-Mart and bought a spanish home pregnancy test. My history has proven that a missed period even if only by a day or two result in a positive pregnancy test. So Friday morning February 2nd again Emma's original due date I take a pregnancy test in our hotel room bathroom and immediately it is positive. My husband was still sleeping, so I went out and sat on the belcony watching the sun rise and counting out 40 weeks. I end up my counting on Wednesday October 10th, Emma's 1st Heavenly Birthday, how ironic is that. I could hardly believe it. So after the suprise and shock especially since we were't actively trying but obviously wasn't properly preventing it we were pregnant again, only three short months after Emma's death. I woke up my husband and showed him the test and he couldn't believe it. We were both excited and scared to death at the same time. So now Caden has arrived and is a healthy baby boy we are so blessed to be holding another heathly living child. So that is my story. Sorry so long but cosidereing all the ironic dates I had to share. I truely believe that Emma was watching out for us and her baby brother Caden.

Love,

Brooke- Mommy to Carter-5, Ethan- 2/12, Caden-7 weeks, &
