Cheryl, It is I who should thank you. If it was not for you and Mike, Sandy, Steve, and the other member of the NILMDTS team, I honestly don't know where I would be today. You and the other members are the ones who have made this all possible. I now have a way of showing my precious beautiful baby boy to the world, and it gives me such a good feeling and sence of pride knowing I'm able to do that through this wonderful site. This organization has helped take away a little bit of the feeling of loss and emptiness I would have other wise been overwhelmed with. Although I still feel that way, it's not so severe, if you understand what I mean. I have such admiration for you Cheryl. You are such a strong person, to do this during the most heartbreaking time in your life. You are my inspiration, and I thank you. Our babies are playing in heaven, they have no worries, no fear, no saddness, they are safe and they are dearly loved by God and by all of us, they are protected and happy. After all, as mothers, that is what we ultimately want for our children. We all found each other. It's my feeling this friendship bond will grow stronger as time goes by.

Tammy- The idea of our babies playing together in Heaven, brings such a smile to my face, and a warmness to my heart. Thank you for mentioning this...

Here are some new images of little Chase, and his oldest brother Rorey. Rorey was everyones salvation that evening at the hospital, he knew just what to say to make everyone, including the doctors smile. Sometimes it's hard to believe he is only six years old.
Yet, by looking into his big blue eyes, you can tell he was so heartbroken that his baby brother could not be with us. He understood that Chase went to Heaven to live with Jeasus. He also told everyone not to worry or be sad because if anyone messed with his baby brother, "Beavis" (our dog who passed away a couple of years ago) would protect him, and Beavis would play with him, give him kisses all the time and keep him happy.

A letter to my son, from mommy

Each day that passes by, you are in my thoughts. I gaze up into the starry skies at night and wonder what you are doing, and how you are. Are you being good? Are your days filled with joy and laughter? Do your grandmas' rock-a -bye you to sleep? Or do they read you stories?

How I wish you were here with me, so I could be the one rock you to sleep, or read to you the stories I used to read to your brothers at bedtime... over and over again. I miss you so much, my precious little angel. I love you so much, you are my inspiration.... you are my light. You are my little angel baby. You are always in my heart~

Happy Birthday My Precious~
Today, August 25th 2006, you would be one year old. I imagine what you would look like, I wonder if would you be as spunky as your brothers? I bet you would be. We all miss you, and love you so much Chase.

Last night we went to the cemetary. I asked Rorey if he wanted to say a prayer to you. This is what he said:

"Dear Baby Chase,
I love you, I always will. I hope you are having fun in Heaven, I hope you are having fun with our dog Beavis. I hope you have a good Birthday in Heaven, I wish I could come at your birthday party in Heaven too, but someday I will see you and we can have a big birthday party. I love you alot, you will always be my baby brother. Amen"

You are and always will be in our hearts. Happy Birthday Chase.

It has now been one year, one week and one day to date since our Baby Chase has been received into Heaven.
My family and I are for the most part doing ok. We still grieve, we still shed tears, we still love and miss our little angel. Some days are still difficult. I still ask questions.
We look at Chase's images and his slide show. We wonder what he would be like now. We talk to him at his grave site, we pray he is happy. We hope he knows how much we love him. We hope he knows he is an important part of our family and he always...always will be.

Dear Baby Chase,
I just want you to know Mommy, Daddy, Rorey and Jacob love you so very much. We think about you all the time and pray you are happy. We wish you were here with us, but we know you are where you need to be. You have accomplished your goal in life, and as much as it hurts us not having you here, we are so very proud of you, Chase. You have touched so many lives and continue to touch others. I am so thankful God blessed us with having you as our son, as our baby brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin. We love you so so much~

Thanks to all for the thoughts, prayers, emails and phone calls on Baby Chase's 1st Birthday. Every message meant so much to us~ I'm so so grateful for this organization, to have a place where Baby Chase's memory and the memories of all our precious babies can be recognized, acknowledged and remembered.

To My Sweetest Little Angel, (8-26-07)

Happy 2nd Birthday! We want you to know we love you and think about you everyday~ How we so wish you were here with us, but we know it was not in God's plan, He needed you in Heaven. Still, it doesn't take away the sorrow and heartache of not having you here with us. We know we will see you again someday.

Yesterday, we had a birthday party for your big brother. Even though it was his day, it was also yours. When he blew out his candles, I made a quiet wish for you. My wish was that you were happy and able to see us from Heaven, sharing in the fun and laughter everyone shared. I know in my heart you were with us.

We will be visiting you today, so be looking for the balloons that will be coming your way! We love and miss you~ my sweetest little Angel.

Sending to you lots of love, today and always. We love and miss you so much, more than words can come close to describing. Woke up this morning to the sound of rain; tears from Heaven. I hope you know how much you are loved, missed and cherished~ my sweet baby. I have to smile a little when I say "my baby"--- if you were here and heard me call you "baby" if you would put your hands on your hips, give me a frown and say, "I'm not a baby anymore mom!!", like your brothers did when they were 4! :o What I wouldn't give to see that. But I can only imagine it, so that will have to do.
