I always have a calendar on my desk each year with either quotes or my horoscope or something for each day, this year I bought one for Mom's.
Today's quote is so true....
"It kills you to see them grow up. But I guess it would kill you quicker if they didn't."
~Barbara Kingsolver
Just thought I would share.

Jessica, WOW...I don't really know what else to say to that...IT IS SO TRUE. I still wonder if I will see Anthony grow up in Heaven??? I hope so!!! Also, this quote is somewhat fitting for my son Elias,...as he is struggling to grow...and it is all just killing me inside.:(
Cheryl, love the card!

I have received this email several times, and always deleted them, but I received this tonight again so I thought I would post this quote here:
Life is too short to wake up with regrets, so love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason.... If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, be thankful for it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Hugs all around.
Cheryl, I copied your card to send to my daughters. Tomorrow is the 3rd anniversary of their Dad's death. Hope it brings them a little comfort.

Today's Calendar Quote:
"A woman has two smiles that an angel might envy-the smile that accepts a lover before words are uttered, and the smile that lights on the firstborn babe, and assures it of a mother's love." ~Thomas C. Haliburton

Would you all mind if I merged this thread with the 'A picture paints a thousand words' thread? This way all these quotes, etc., can be found in one place.

Actually, I'm going to have a change of heart. The 'Picture Paints a thousand words' has over 50 pages of poems, quotes, etc., and this thread would be swallowed by it due to it's size. so, I'm going to leave this one as is. What I am going to do, though, is move this into the 'Resources' room so that both threads are in the same place. This will make it easier for people to find great quotes for their slide shows.
By the way, I just came up with a new one tonight. I was trying to think of a new tag line for my business and came up with this:
'Life is a journey that begins with baby steps' ......author-Me!

All I could say is Wow when I read it--

April 3rd Quote~
Our son Mark is our first child so this quote means so much and Mark's heart stopped on a Thursday so this quote brings tears to me.
"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new."

May 20 quote~
"My Mother's love....is worth dying for. Her gentle compassionate touch shaped my very essence and-forever-I shall remember and although we are separated by the corridor of life and the doorway of heaven, I will always attempt to become the man that she perceived me to be."
-Frank L. de Roos III
Also, last night I stopped at Mark's grave to check on the flowers we had put out there on Saturday. And I noticed this on a stone not that far from where Mark is buried.
"So Small, So Sweet, So Soon"
This just stuck in my head, the stone is for triplets that passed away a few years ago--all within a month of being born. Such a true statement for all of us.
