It was so nice to come home to such a tribute to the Utah families and photographers!

http://www.sltrib.com/ci_7882788

She did a beautiful job with the article and if you click on the 'multimedia' show http://166.70.44.68/multimedia/010508_julie_williams/index.html you can see some of the images and hear my interview (didn't even know they did this part!) during and after the session I did.

I came home from todays session and just snuggled my baby boy.....my heart goes out to you parents.....if only I could do more.

Also, if you click on the 'stillborn study' link in the related article box, that is my childhood friend Tara Adams they speak about. She is the one that told them that NILMDTS is who they need to be covering too!

Wow Julie! What a beautiful acknowledgment for Nilmdts!!! You did a fantastic job! I've never went to a nilmdts shoot with another member and so this was neat to see what you did. It looked like exactly what I do but it was nice to see what you did, too.

How are you doing after having 7 nilmdts session in a week???

Oh my stars.....IT MADE FRONT PAGE! MAIN article FRONT and center!

I'm just shaking! We were all bummed last night (that mom in the other article) driving to the session because we thought it would only be an online article. Oh no....it's also TWO full spread (no ads) pages inside!!!!!

I'm going to go take pictures of it right now!

Just beautiful!!!!! I am going to share this link with our organization as well. The fetal wrap the baby was wrapped in are like the ones our organization donates. Its inspiring that families can have something so precious to wrap their angel in.
Thank you for sharing this article. Its beautiful

You'll never believe this....but that very wrap was made by my neighbor! She lost a baby 3 years ago and she and her mom donate the 'envelopes', gowns and blankets to the hospital where this story was done and she delivered.

She called me in tears today saying, "you'll never believe this."

Yes sadly these kind of wraps are requested by hospitals thousands every year :( Its so heartbreaking I am just so humbled that we can be there to bring some small but of comfort!

Ladies I read about your organization in our Sunday paper, the Salt Lake Tribune. I visited your website and I am so touched by it. You see over 20 years ago, in 1984, I had a stillborn at 21 weeks...we named her Alisha but I was told that it was best not to see her or hold her. We were told, just like the article mentioned, that the death was associated with the umbilical cord....no other details provided. At the time feeling so scared, confused and alone I asked no questions nor did I demand to see my baby. Years have past and the pain is still there and I wish so much that your organization had been around at that time. What I would give now for a photo of her if only it was her feet or hands.

PLEASE keep up the wonderful and beautiful work you are doing..... giving parents now the opportunity that we did not have. The thought of parents going through the regret that I now go thru just saddens me. I am thankful that I now have three beautiful kids, 17, 10 and 7 but there are days that I feel someone missing still.

The article is beautiful. You did a wonderful job, and the multi media player was also incredible. Your words speak volumes...
Thank you for your committment and dedication to these families.

Okay crying AGAIN! Thank you Cheryl.....I was sooo wanting to live up to this organization. I just came home from my 10th of 11 babies (one mom is in labor today) in a weeks time. Even the hospitals have said it's way more than usual. I think all this happened for a reason and some of those reasons/blessings are still coming.

Is it okay to post some of the e-mails that I've received? There are also many comments on the article itself down at the bottom. This has been SO well received! I hope and pray that donations are coming in as well!

We do have about 12 other photogs within driving distance but getting them to answer or even return a call (even days later nada) is next to impossible. So, I'm working on recruiting others that WILL go and answer the call and then I'm going to be chatting with you all about 'cleaning house'.

I'm sorry...I totally understand commitments and family, but we're talking 6-8 months of this and it would be just a lot 'kinder' for them to decline being a photog KWIM? I have MWAC that want to help and I honestly think with a little training and guidance, they will be wonderful and they are all very excited to get started and have even been on sessions with me.

Julie, If you don't mind, can this topic of conversation be discussed in the Water Cooler area instead of in this thread?

Thanks, I found it right after I sent the post.

I was in a bit of a rush to get to the hospital for a nilmdts baby.
