I received the following email just days after sweet little Landon's passing. It was from a friend of the parents, whom had been my contact throughout the session. She's referring to the funeral flyers I designed using his photos. It was 100% my pleasure to work with this family; they were so gracious and I feel lucky to have met them.
We all ate dinner together last night, and after I got the emails with
the pictures, Genny's family came up and joined us and we all looked
at
them together. Her mom sat at the computer with us and just cried.
She kept saying, "See, I told you he had the face of an angel!" By
the
time we all saw Landon in the hospital, he was in pretty bad shape -
still as precious as ever, but he had just taken a hard beating
through
the whole thing and was so delicate. Seeing these pictures made Eric
&
Genny and their parents so proud. We just kept talking about
everything, and how the nurses had said that Eric & Genny wouldn't
want pictures
of him, and they hadn't known what to do. They were afraid of not
having good shots, especially of the ones entirely of him rather than
just
his hands or feet, but they were overwhelmed when they saw that one
big shot of him. He truly looks like the precious child he was. I
know
it couldn't have been easy for you to lose Keely Rae, but what you are
able to give to others through your work has to be what God had in
mind
for you and your husband after going through something so hard. Now,
they're going to be able to share these photos at the funeral, when
before only the family at the hospital were able to see him. You have
blessed us all, and I know I've told you that several times, but they
all
wanted to make sure you knew how important this was to them and how
much they appreciated you. You were so patient with all of us, taking
your time up on a Friday night so late, and being so delicate and
gentle
with him. The nurses were shocked, and we will be giving them your
information and more info about NILMDTS as well so you can help future
families that have to go through such a hard time.
Thank you so much for your hard work on this and for not hesitating a
second in supporting a hurting family.
