Ashley Koch and Matt Buck open the little blue box and lose themselves in the photographs of their stillborn son. Except for their memories and a few keepsakes, these black and white portraits are all this young couple have of the life they created. More »

I loved the story and I can't wait to show others how not to be afraid. I had a friend this year have a baby and another mother had lost her child the same day and my friend didn't know what to say to her but I had no troubles seeing her in the hallway getting her exercise and gave her a big hug to tell her how much she is loved. I didn't know her but I was able to connect with her since I had been through it myself. This story really shows people that it is not always a happy ending but by pictures what beautiful memories you have to share and how thankful they are to have the photos forever! Thanks for putting this on the forum.

I was so proud of Ashley and Matt both for allowing me to bring Mark (the photographer from the Journal Sentinel) into the room with me....

They were truly thinking of how they could make more meaning out of their loss and hoped to help others who would go through what they went through. I believe they accomplished just that...

I am so proud of them for being open to it... they handled it so wonderfully....

And... Annysa and Mark who worked on the story did a great job as well putting the focus right where it needed to be... on the family and how what we do helps them heal...
