I see alot of faces on this forum of NILMDTS parents that have NOT submitted their baby's story to our main web site. I urge you to do this. I get emails from moms that have googled their baby's condition, only to come across the pages of our parents stories, and that this means so much to them. I know that this takes time, so please when you are ready, remember this.

For some reason, Caelan's photo isn't loading on the gallery page...there is a blank box. If you scroll over it his names comes up and if you click it his story comes up. But no photo is appearing.

Cheryl - I have been reading the gallery stories and I noticed that one baby was born in Okinawa, Japan. Do we have photograhers there? If you could put me in touch with an area coordinator I could schedule a training there in Dec. or early January. I will be there from Nov. 28th - Jan. 8th. to be with my daughter who is having a baby and is due Dec. 8th. I will just need some help finding a meeting room - but I will be taking equipment anyway to photography my grandbaby.

The baby was Gabriel Anthony Mele.

I have been trying to find photographers there - but there aren't many. I guess when you only live somewhere for three years at a time it's hard to build a business.

Regarding the same child, I had been reading the Caring Bridge journals his Mom has been writing. As of a few days ago, he was in the hospital--hehad gone home but was back in the hospital. His Caring Bridge site has been changed to require a password. I've grown attached to the little guy and was wondering if anyone knows how he is. I found him through the NILMDTS image gallery. Thank you.

Cheryl, I finally did it...but it's not working for me. when I submit, it adds all these slashes into my story, and my story is exactly 1000 characters:D I struggled with that...but it doesnt inform me of an error...I think I resized the image properly, so that shouldnt be the problem:confused: can you please help me???

I submitted my daughter's story and photo for the website a couple of weeks ago but have not seen it yet. I was wondering about how long it usually takes for them to be posted and if the info I sent went through or if I need to resend it? Please let me know - Thanks

Cheryl, I tried to look at the links to decide if this was something that I was ready or could do. My story is that of a cord accident so I doubt that I would have much to offer to other moms concerning a condition, but I would really like to see the other stories. But when I clicked on either link, I got an error message 404 that the page didn't exsist (for both). I hate to ask... but help please?

Mothers of babies who are lost due to cord accidents are sometimes the most devastated. They often go full term, or almost full term. They have had one or two ultrasounds. They've found out whether their child is a boy or a girl and they have named it and bonded with it. They go to the hospital with baby clothes in their suitcases fully expecting to bring home the beautiful, healthy baby they have spent the past several months preparing for and then their hearts are broken with the news that their precious little one didn't make it.

If you're comfortable sharing your story, I'm sure it would help other mothers. Knowing they are not alone might in some way help their healing process.

And, I am so sorry for your loss of little Jennifer. Is your profile picture her actual footprints? Those are precious.
