Again, I would like to share another family testimonial to NILMDTS.
Below is a response from the Grandmother of Jazlyne and Najiah:
Dear Cheryl, Sandy, Erin, Chantel, Brent, Peter, Kara, Mark, Megan, Jane, Jamie, Joel and anyone I might have Forgotten.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. My Granddaughters are Jazlyne Robin and Najiah Nicole. They were my first grandchildren. They came into the world to early on December 8, 2005. Najiah was born at 4:30 A.M. and Jazlyne at 9:50 A.M., both passed soon after. My daughter Robin told me that their pictures were going to be taken that evening. I assumed by first foto. Once Sandy and Erin (I'm sorry I can't remember the other face, it all seemed like a dream at the time.) arrived I knew that this was something special. It wasn't until I informed a co-worker, a fellow supervisor Brian at Invesco Field (also the Pepsi Center) about my recent loss, that he to shared his personal experiences. He told me that his wife volunteers with NILMDTS and when a passing or soon to pass occurs that Sandy drops whatever she is doing and rushes to the family. Please excuse me if my grammar is off or doesn't make sense but this isn't an easy situation to write about.
Our pictures and movie were available last week. I haven't seen the movie yet because I want to be alone but I copied the pictures to my computer. They are beautiful. I want to thank everyone involved. I can't seem to find the words to say exactly how I feel but I'm sure you know. There are new feelings that we share. I've had friends who lost children in the past and when they wanted to show me pictures or talk about it I Froze. I didn't know how to react or what to say. Now I know.
I have many ideas on how to help do my part. While visiting the cemetery I couldn't help but notice all the unmarked graves in babyland. If I could place a 12 X 12 piece of granite with their name or even a nice picture. On Valentine's day I took a rose for every grave that looked like it didn't have any visits. I promised myself that I would take something, anything on each visit. Just to let the babies know that I thought of them today. Also I noticed that you now offer celebration of life announcements. I made one for Najiah and Jazlyne that Sandy took pictures of. I would be willing to design them for free and email the announcements to their personal computer. That way they could print as many as needed. I praise you and everyone involved for making this all possible. An idea that was shared and helps many heal. Once again THANK YOU and please contact me if anyone needs announcements or personalized memories. My daughter had a photo album with pictures taken with our camera. There were many empty pages so I designed comforting poems with backgrounds so her photo album would be complete.I prefer my denverwind@gmail.com (javascript:parent.ComposeTo('denverwind@gmail.com ');) address. I'm only using this one so I can send examples of my work. This is how I heal. It makes me feel very good inside when I can take a picture of a loved one and present it to the family usually at the services.
Thanks Again,
Augusta Vigil
