Gracelynn's Cabinet

Here is what we call "Gracelynn's Cabinet". I had mentioned to our pastor's wife just after Gracelynn died that we were going to get a cabinet to display her things. The next day our pastor told us that the church was going to get us a cabinet instead of flowers or something else. We really like it and everyone who has seen it really likes it. Of course we did have one(not a member of our church)tell someone that we had a shrine. Oh well! The top shelf has the things from the hospital. The 2nd shelf has things from the funeral. The 3rd shelf has a doll wearing the outfit and blanket they dressed her in after she died. The 4th has the outfit we had bought to Bring her home from the hospital(if she had been full term) and a doll identical to the one we put in her casket. The 5th(not shown) has an afghan someone had made for her and stuffed animals from the Ronald McDonald House where we stayed.

Very nice. Someday I hope to get a curio in which I can display things, too. For now I just have a shelf. Thanks for showing us...

What a beautiful display of precious items. The church was so thoughtful to get this for you. It may seem like a shrine to others. Not to me and it only matters to you.
Speaking of shrines a friend of mine has a collection of teddy bears that took almost 100 extra large storage totes to hold them in when she moved. That was after she sold many in a group sale. She loves bears and I still send her one every year on her birthday...I think I may be responsible for at least one tote of them-hehe.
What you have is beautiful, one day I hope to display my angels items so nicely as well.
