An update and pic....

We traveled to Des Moines this week to get a 3/4D ultrasound done, it went pretty well but baby was sleeping lol.....she was all snuggled up, her feet and face pressed into my placenta, we kept trying to get her to move and she would snuggle closer but she did let us see her pretty face the last few minutes so we were happy :) she has long legs, chunky cheeks, daddy's ears, and hair!! she even opened her eyes for one of the photos! it was beautiful and amazing to watch and we are very pleased we did it, i did tell them they should start offering the service and be open 24 hours of the day because this lil pumpkins favorite time for doing dances in my belly is about midnight lol.......they measured her weighing about 3 lbs 8 oz right now!
I met with my dietician and diabetic counselor today and got started with my new diet plan and taking my blood sugars, not as bad as i thought it was going to be and i've breathed a sigh of relieve after getting it all explained as i was sooo confused, myblood sugars are right on track and hoping they will stay that way...i met with my doc yesterday and we will be scheduling some more u/s to check on baby's weight and well-being etc. and will be starting non-stress tests twice a week when i get to 35 weeks...
here are a few photos! the first is her profile with her arms, fingers, and the umbilical cord, the 2nd is one of her hair on the back of her head, and the third is a perfect pic of her ear(which look just like daddies!) sorry they are so big!

WOW . . . . really, a BIG WOW !!!!
Isn't it an amazing time we live in when we can see so clearly this little person growing in us . . .
I didn't have that available with my kids. But my daughter had a few problems during her pregnancy and she had 3D imaging done every month. One of the shots came back and little Riley's nose looked HUGE, I mean Jimmy Durante or Carl Malden HUGE!!!!!! Even the Dr. took that shots out to show to all the nurses. When he was born, the first thing the doc said was, "Normal Nose!!!" I keep that picture on my wall . . .

that is awesome! I didn't even know that 3D imaging even existed. Times have really changed. We didn't even have ultra sound when I was expecting my children and we had a father's waiting room, not a birthing room like they have now. I now realize how old I really am!!!

Oh my gosh, that is so breathtaking! Thank you so much for sharing your sweet baby with us! It is so amazing the detail you can see with the new ultrasounds. One thing I liked about having G.D. with my first pregnancy was the more frequent check-ups and ultrasounds. SO I guess there's a bright side, too. It sure would be reassuring to have that next time for me...

She is so sweet - just gorgeous. I can't get over that face image; beautiful!!!!!

Hi! i know ive been kinda MIA lately lol......i will cut and paste my blog update from my Myspace so everyone can read whats been going on....and i will update you all tomorrow after my OB checkup....tuesday we are 36 wks but i have a feeling baby will come sooner!

just wanted to update and let everyone know im still here, still pregnant, and anxiously awaiting this little girl who still does not have a name! we have decided we will probably wait until we see her before we name the little squirt as we just aren't happy with any of the choices and feel they aren't right for her! hmmm i must be nuts huh? Anyways my gest. diabetes is being controlled for the most part with diet so things on that front are ok but i cannot wait to have some foods ive been craving after shes born lol.........ive never missed pasta so much in my life, you can usually find me screaming obscenities at the TV when the olive garden commercials come on! In other news i had a little accident on last Sat....i was visiting my mom so we could go to some town rummages, i already had problems with my hips but unfortunately with the rain and a slick garage floor i found myself doing the splits and pulling all my groin muscles/uterine muscles etc....and in a heck of alot of pain.....i called the doc and we went to the little hospital in Onawa for a NST and to get checked out just to be safe....baby is doing great although she had me scared for awhile.....but as for me...hmmm...lets just say im walking most of the time with a cane and even that is extremely painful, they say it could take months for me to heal completely.....but we have a doc appt on monday and will see what he says, apparently there is some concern about me being able to deliver and problems arising now with the pain/groin area/hips as i can barely raise my legs 2 inches off the floor and rolling over in bed is complete agony :( but we shall see.....also up on the agenda for monday is my group b strep test and im going to ask him to check me for dialation because i swear these BH contractions had better be giving me some progress lol.....it feels like she's going to fall out and grandma sandy says shes never seen a baby dropped sooooo low lol......my belly is just hanging there ha! the contractions are getting more frequent and are very painful, we all have bets that i wont make it to my due date(hopefully!) oh and we should be getting another u/s within the next week for size/position/AFI ....i cant wait to see how big she is! anyone want to take guesses???
Ok thats it for now will update more tomorrow! Im attaching some maternity photos that Kristen, our NILMDTS photographer, did for us, they are so gorgeous, she is so talented! I was almost 34 wks in the photos!

Ok.......soooo yesterday had my appt. and i am only dialated to just past a one! :( lol i so thought it was going to be more than that! But i am 50% effaced and he could feel the top of her little head! they sent me up for my first NST and i got a biophysical profile u/s, she looks huge! i was very angry though because we start the ultrasound and i asked the tech how big she was as that was one of the main reasons doc was having another u/s done with my GD to check measurements/weight....the tech stops and says she cant tell me that or take any measurements as she doesnt have any orders for that....ughhh! so i was fuming and will talk to the doc later this week about that and why the orders keep getting messed up between their office and the hospital....
Baby looks good though, her heartbeat was jumping around so they monitored more than normal but all and all was a good NST! Please keep us in your prayers! thanks!

lol you are all hilarious! Kirk i love the idea i would love to indulge in tons of mexican food, in fact we have this authentic mexican place here that my hubby and i frequent but since getting the GD i cant have it :( makes my blood sugar rise lol but i did find some really low carb tortillas and am actually going to have chicken tacos tomorrow lol.....i will try the dancing, hubby will like that, now if only i can get my hips to cooperate haha, after that fall i had i cant walk/stand for more than 10 min lol.....thank you all! its so nice to have all of your support and praying for us we are so very excited to see this princess!

no baby yet :( still hanging in there i think shes going to hold out until her due date lol she likes it in there.........im only dialated to just past a one still and honestly am feeling pretty good, better than i have in weeks at least but very tired all the time......we had an another u/s thursday because of my GD and did some measurements the tech said about 6lbs 11 oz. but in all honesty i think she was off she seemed really rushed and didnt take her time with the measuring.i think baby is a little bigger than that lol but oh well we will see when she comes! my blood sugars have not been very good so they have put me back on a lower dosage of glyburide again, i hate taking them they make me nauseous and dizzy and shaky ughh....but only 2 more weeks to go right now! im going to try and go into labor on my own, at least thats the plan for now, but if she isnt here by the 12th then i will agree to the induction which is only 3 days early of course........i did have a ton of contractions last night at my NST but nothing doc was concerned about, they came every 5-10 min for a couple of hours and then BOOM just stopped lol.....anyways thanks for the thoughts and prayers! ive been trying to get on here more but for some reason im having problems accessing the forum and a slow connection to it lately??? probably my darn computer!

here's an update! we are getting induced friday if the little sweetpea hasnt come by then:) ive still been having the contractions and horrible back ones as well........last nights NST ended me with spending over 3 hours in the hospital, she wasnt cooperating so they did a biophysical u/s, her heart rate kept bouncing around, but she scored an 8 outof 8 on the test! ill go in again tomorrow to have another check on her but we have decided that were not comfortable waiting past this weekend for her to come so the induction will be best......wish us luck and keep the prayers coming please! im so excited and anxious!
