Whoopee! A Local News Story, Cincinnati

Here is the link to a local news story, done in Cincinnati's area newspaper, the Cincinnati Enquirer. They responded to a press release that Jolene Kroeger put together, and interviewed myself and another NILMDTS parent, as well as Jolene and Tricia (the other Cincinnati Co-Coordinator). They are supposed to put in a link to a video as well, but I haven't found that yet. I don't think it is up. I will post that when it is found.

I just got the paper version. It is even better - it has a couple of the pictures that Jolene took of Kavya and Lily, the baby of the other parent interviewed. And it's the front page story of the Life section, with a huge inside spread!

It's wonderful to hear your child's name mentioned in such a vital way . . . Kavya is helping to make a difference . . . AND it's on Memorial Day week-end when we are putting those we lost in our thoughts and prayers.

Kirk - I'm still trying to get a copy for myself. They said the video portion of the newspaper's site was new-ish, and they had never had anyone ask before. But I'm working on it...Would you like a hard-copy of the article that includes the NILMDTS images that aren't on the internet version of the article? I have some extra papers...

BTW, they sent me the video from Facing Life Head-On, but only one copy (they were supposed to send me several). Can I burn you one for you to archive, or how do you want to do that? I know they can be purchased on the website, but...???

Beth - are you the one that bought all the papers in Cinti? lol - other than swiping my neighbors to see the article (I put it back lol) - I couldn't find them anywhere - just talked to Jolene and she said that they had to drive to several different places to find one too!! Just wanted to thank you - for all that you do to support and promote NILMDTS in our area!!!

I tried to buy them all out, but had a hard time finding them myself! I went to several different stores! So far I have had people at the store, my orthodontist, and my workplace (people I don't know there) mention the article to me. I am so happy that word is getting out to more people here locally about the importance of NILMDTS.

Oh My, Vicki, pleasedo't judge me on that horrible video. I keep having to remind myself why I did it. Aak! My teeth look horrilbe (they have since been fixed - oh, the horror of braces).

My daughter (age 32) is getting braces and she is NOT happy about it but if it fixes your teeth and helps make you healthy that is all that is important . . .
