Dreams of You Memory Book

My name is Kelly Gerken and I am the President and Founder of Sufficient Grace Ministries for Women, a 501 ( c ) 3 non-profit organization created to offer comfort and hope to mothers and families who have experienced the loss of a baby to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death...I am also the mother of Faith and Grace (who were stillborn on November 3, 1996 due to twin-to-twin-transfusion syndrome) and Thomas Patrick (who died six hours after birth on July 14, 1998 from Potter's Syndrome). God's sufficient grace carried my family through our sorrow and our pain...and because we were comforted by our loving Father, it is the goal and prayer of our hearts to offer that same comfort to others. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) After a friend of mine lost her daughter, I was searching for a memory book to give her. There didn't seem to be anything that adequately captured the memories of a baby's brief life and all the dreams a parent had for their little one. So, with tears and prayers...I began the process of making a memory book. It was 2004 and my initial efforts were somewhat primitive. The books were handmade at first with gluing and hole punching. Eventually, I made them on my computer...and finally last year we graduated to a professional printing company. I re-designed our books and my fourteen- year- old son helped design the cover. Now we have a beautiful memory book with comforting poems, scripture, places to record the life and passing of your baby, memories, letters to your baby and the dreams you had and have for your little one. It is a hard-cover vinyl with a leather-bound look. The book is called Dreams of You, and it can be viewed along with our beautiful Comfort Bears (created by Kathy Rutter) on our website: www.sufficientgrace.net (http://www.sufficientgrace.net) . We do not ask for bereaved parents to pay for our materials. They are provided through donations we receive from hospitals, individuals, churches, and other organizations.
