I was wanting to know if anyone has made something for their childs headstone to keep up with how old they are for our children or strangers that come to visit their gravesite? Like every year on their birthday put something up their for everyone to see and to represent thier birthday? I have thought of making something to put up at his gravesite that I could put something on representing how many birthdays he's had to help my children remember when we go and visit him.

We made a flower box for Justin's gravesite. It doesn't mark his birthdays but it does allow people to see his name without having to walkt to his grave. It will also give us something in the house during the winter months that will remind us of him. We finished it on Wednesday and got it to his gravesite on Thursday in time for his 2 month birthday. I felt really good knowing that he had something special from his mom and dad to mark where he is. It also serves as his marker right now while we figure out what we want and get it ordered.
You can see pictures of it at http://jaymelynnphotography.blogspot.com/2008/06/justins-box.html
I don't have pictures from the grave yet, hopefully this weekend I can get those up.

there is something like a clear glue that you can buy to glue things on headstone's i believe its something like polyethium..sorry i cant think of the correct name but i bought it once and i glued buttons w/ pictures inside of me holdling maliek w/ his dad... alot of people thought it was a good idea.. after a long while the rain did ruin the picture so i took it down but it lasted a good yr..(always keep the original picture please)

I am buying the precious moments train. Each little peice of the train has a number for the birthday it is. Of course this year is just 1 but I've got bought up to 5

What a sweet idea. I love precious moments, but my babies are usually so dark skinned and with an olive complexion, it's hard to find figures that are compatible!

Beth- I could definately see how that would complicate things. I've seen other figures that signifye years. I'll keep an eye out for you :)
