It's blooming

It's blooming! A lady at our church gave a rose bush in honor of Timothy for Mother's Day, and it's blooming! I wasn't sure that it would since I didn't get it and plant it until almost the end of May, but sure enough there's one tiny white rose opening. I can only see one other bud, but even if it never blooms again it was worth all the watching to see this one flower.

That is so wonderful. A tiny white rose blooming in honor of your son. Beauty can be seen and felt no matter the size.

Christine, what a great idea! It hadn't even occurred to me to press part of the rose...

Thank you all for sharing the experience with me. It was a lot riding on a flower, but I felt kind of like this rose bush was a manifestation of Timothy, and if it didn't bloom I was going to be very disappointed.
