I was blessed to get two lovely notes this week:
Brett and I would like to thank you for lending your talents through NILMDTS. I
don't know that I will ever be able to convey the gratitude I feel for what you have
given us through pictures. I will admit upon thinking about having a photographer
in the room with us during moments I prayed would never come was unsettling at
first. But once we were in that moment we knew we had made the right decision. We
are so appreciative that you gave of yourself to be there at a moment’s notice.
Every day I look at the pictures and while it breaks my heart, it is helping me to
heal.
Sometimes life only gives us one chance to do something or to have something and
your pictures helped to capture not only the grief but the joy and the little,
precious life that had been with me for 31.5 weeks. While Anaiya may have only been
with us for an hour, your photos have given us a lifetime.
“Anaiya” means God Answered. I was hoping for a different outcome through God
answering but as I look back now and through the pictures I see that God did indeed
answer – and you were a part of that.
Once again, thank you so much for your selfless act of lending your talents to our
family. We are forever grateful to you and for the organization you represent (Now
I Lay Me Down to Sleep).
