disappear? I think Teegan's was here before...do I need to redo it?
I think the forum automatically trims threads that are x days old (maybe 30 or 60?).
I was also really upset to find the thread of my son's story gone. :( I cherish every supportive word. Sometimes I go back and read them when I'm feeling down... not accustomed to this forum's trimming policy I was devastated to find mine gone.

Babs,
I love your username, this is the nickname (Babs) for my daughter. She is my little miracle and reminds me everyday how precious our lives are. I would let Kirk Kief know about this ASAP because he may not know about it either. Sometimes he moves threads into others if they are similar. You should check with him. It may still be in the archives!!!

Sarah,
I'm not sure exactly which post you mean but here are a couple of your threads talking about Teegan's life.

I do not trim anything. Let me check the software, however, I'm almost certain that nothing is deleted automatically because of age. Often, folks get confused thinking something is missing. when you open the Room that contains the thread, look at the bottom of the page. You'll find page numbers. If you go back a few pages, you'll normally find what you are missing.

I just did a quick look see, and all threads are still here, in the forum. I found one thread dated May of 2006.

I think I know what the problem might be. I remember when I first started going through the forum I was surprised that some of the threads only seemed to go back a few weeks. Turns out that if you go to your User CP (control panel) and click on "Edit Options", there is an option for "Default Thread Age Cutoff". There are a number of selections, such as "Show Threads from last two weeks". Depending on how you have this set, it could have made your thread seem to disappear, when it's really still there. Try changing this option to show older threads for you!
Good Luck!

I haven't had the problem of threads getting cut out but that is excellent information to know. Thanks for sharing that Marc!!!
