This is an incredible email that I just received. Thank you to all the parents that are posting their stories on our forum. You and your babies are truly making a difference...

Mrs. Haggard,
My name is Stephanie Maines. I am an OB/Nursery nurse in Mt. Vernon, IL. I want to tell you what a treasure that my nurses and I think of NILMDTS. It has been a precious thing that the photographers provide for our parents. I have been an OB nurse for almost six years and I did not know about this service until last year. Now we offer it to our parents as part of a check list, so they will not miss this precious opportunity.
I linked off the NILMDTS website to your blog and then to the discussion board. I read every post under the "I wish I would have..." post. I will be honest, I had never thought to offer the mom and dad the opportunity to give the baby a bath. Now, I will never care for a patient that I will forget to offer that to. There were also many other suggestions that I will take back to my nurses and we will put on our "do not forget" lists. I just wanted to let you know that you and your websites has changed my nursing practice, I hope, for the better. I would welcome any more suggestions. I appreciate all that you and the photographers do for our moms and families.
Thank you
Stephanie Maines, RN, BSN

Nurses ROCK!!! Really . . . just think of all the things that the have to do to take good care of a patient . . . all the things that they must consider and MUST do in order to make sure that their patient does well.
How wonderful to be added to the "to do" list!!!

Thanks for sharing with us Cheryl!!!
