Please tell me how you other mommies named your new babies after a loss?!?!?! I can not decide on anything because nothing is good enough! Naming our first daughter was SOOOOO easy! I always knew before I was even pregnant with her that she would be Alexis after her daddy Alex and that she would be Lexi for short! From the second they said ITS A GIRL she became Lexi! This time I had already had my mind set on names as well but then the opposite happened we were set on Audriana and once we heard ITS A GIRL all of a sudden I hated Audriana! All of a sudden I hated all little girl names! I love the name Lexi and nothing seems to compare! I know it is still early but I feel like I need to give the baby an identity that is her own! I seem to only like names that hubby doesnt like and then once he agrees on the new name I hate it and pick another name that I know he doesnt like! UGH please tell me how you did it?!?!? HELP!

We were waiting to find out if we were having a boy or a girl before we decided on anything... The night before my son was born/died, my MIL suggested we use my last name as his first name and my husbands last name for his last name... It is perfect for us. Good luck with deciding.

I recommend speaking with a professional. There is more here than just selecting a name.:)

Not a bad idea Dave. ;)
On another note, my third pregnancy, we choose not to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. We did not name our baby until after delivery. Sometimes, you just have to wait...:)

It is not a must, that you name your child as soon as you know what you are having. You will not lose your connection with your child because of it. I might suggest that you choose a nickname, instead of a full name. Like, if she moves alot, "little tumbler" stretches alot "ballerina" you know where I am leading with this. Choose something special to you and for her. Don't stress yourself out over her name just yet...you have plenty of time.

Hope I helped...

Well I came up with the name NAthan Reese Wolfe because of eating a reese's cup made him very hyper so I knew he liked them and wanted to incorporate that with his name I am gonna nickname him reese's cup.

I guess that explains why my parents nicknamed me 'little gasser??"

Kirk strikes again! Always good for a laugh.

Names are very important...I'm going over names in my head - I think we're going to choose several favorites once we find out the sex, and then decide when we meet him or her. I think I'll know when I see that little face, exactly who s/he is!
