I found the name online at one of the baby sites I went to. I loved it from the moment I said it. And I knew that was going to be her name.

No, Rylan isn't a family name. But Elizabeth is. It's my Grandma and Great Grandma's middle name also.

Rylan's Story

It was August 25, 2008 and with less than 4 weeks to go I went in for a routine ultrasound with my Mom, my boyfriend and his Mom. We went into the room I laid down on the table and the technician did her thing. She had asked me when the last time I had felt Rylan move was...I thought about it and it had been a few days. I really didn't think anything of it at the time...I just thought she wasn't moving as much because it was near the end of my pregnancy and she was getting so big and didn't have much room to move around. The technician left the room to go get someone else because "there was something she couldn't see". They came back into the room about 10 minutes later. I was laying there on the table when I knew there was something wrong. The technician continued looking around with the ultrasound, then he stopped and thats when I heard the words "there is no fetal heartbeat." I thought I was going to die...I thought it was a bad dream and all I wanted to do was wake up. We left and headed for the hospital. They induced me a few hours later, nothing happened. The following day August 26, 2008 they gave me pitocin and broke my water. Upon delivery they found that her umbilical cord was wrapped tightly around her left ankle, making it impossible for Rylan to breath. I delivered Rylan Elizabeth August 26, 2008 at 4:19PM weighing in at 4lbs 15oz 19.5 inches long. She was beautiful. She had my rose bud lips and my button nose.

She does have the sweetest little rosebud lips - you just want to kiss them! And those long fingers...Kavya had fingers like that and I wondered if she would have played piano or something...so pretty and graceful. She had your fingertips, too, I think. She is beautiful. Thank you so much for letting us meet Rylan.

She is so precious. Thank you for sharing her story with us. She is such a beautiful girl, I know I will never forget her...or you. I pray for you often and am so glad you have built such a great community of friends here on the forum. I have been keeping up with all of your posts and if you need any help w/ resizing more photos just pm me and let me know what number the image is. = )

Thank you so much for taking such beautiful photos of my daughter. I am so glad that Alan and I decided to do that. I think if I hadn't I would have regreted not doing it! So again, thank you so much!

Thandra you are so very welcome. But I am just as grateful to you and Alan for sharing your beautiful angel with me. Beautiful baby girl!!! Isn't it amazing what the photographers do here? I am so grateful for all the photographers that capture such special moments for us. Thank you so much to every photographer that dedicates their time and time away from their families to help our families. Rylan is such a pretty name, I have a cousin who's daughter is named Rylan too. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If you need anything we are always here.
