View Full Version : Ever Wonder Why?

I hope not to offend anyones religion. I found this today when I thought all my eggs were rotten (bad day today as my pastor is very ill). I am wishing you all a beautiful sunrise in the morn.

Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this" or "Why did God have to do this to me?"
Here is a wonderful explanation!
A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong... she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.
Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake."
"Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers.
"Yuck" says her daughter.
"How about a couple raw eggs?"
"Gross, Mom!"
"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?"
"Mom, those are all yucky!"
To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!”
God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!
God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.

I want to say thank you Christine for the reminder. With all the difficulties in my life right now ( back problems, possible surgery- find out wed., no work, no income, fighting with husband about money, fighting with son about grades......) I need to remind myself of gods love. Also the saying " This too shall pass"

I don't know why He has my angel. I want her in my arms. I know that I would have done anything to change places with her. I do know that my life changed forever when my Victoria grew wings. I am no longer the raw eggs, flour and baking soda I once was. I have grown in my faith....Through Grace comes Faith. I was blessed to adopt 3 special needs foster children and one private adoption-my flowers, and two earthly angels-my beautiful sunrise, I have become a photographer to help others have treasured memories of their angels-with blessings from my angel in heaven. My family and I survived a serious MVA-miracles sent from above. I have survived mc's and skin cancer and the many injuries and challenges my children face. I choose to see and embrace all the wonderful things around me and know one day I will be reunited with my angel.
If I only see the negative (believe me the list could be very long) I would be in a deep, dark pit with no way out. Find your sweet flowers, beautiful sunrise and love we share.

So touching on such a hard day for me. Thank you for the post. Although it will be difficult for me today, in the back of my mind I can think of what you just said, it may take awhile for me to get all of those ingredients mixed but I know in the end I will be ok.

“When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown, Faith is knowing one of two things will happen:
There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly”

Christine ~

Thanks for sharing a "recipe" for living . . .
I think that life and God really does give us all the ingredients we need to bake ourselves a great cake . . . I WOULD like to add chocolate to mine!!! ;)
I love your heart and spirit Christine . . . we wouldn't be the same here at NILMDTS without you ~

Brandy,
Sending you hugs on this special day....I did not forget your precious Emma. We will bake her a cake, chocolate with sprinkels no less, and blow out a candle in her memory today.
Hugs,
Christine
