Just wanted to share the words from this song.

A Visitor From Heaven

Sung by Twila Paris

From the CD “Beyond a Dream”

A visitor from Heaven
If only for a while
The gift of life to be returned
We think of you and smile
A visitor from Heaven
Accompanied by grace
Reminding of a better love
And of a better place

With aching hearts and empty arms
We send you with a name
It hurts so much to let you go
But we're so glad you came
We're so glad you came

A visitor from Heaven
If only for a day
We thank Him for the time he gave
And now it's time to say
We trust you to the Father's love
And to His tender care
Held in the Everlasting Arms
And we're so glad you're there
We're so glad your there

With breaking hearts and open hands
We send you with a name
It hurts so much to let you go
But we're so glad you came
We're so glad you came

Karla,

What a beautiful song. I don't believe I've ever heard it, but I will get it.

Martin, Alison,
I found it in Dawn Siegrist Waltman's book, I thought it was a poem actually until I saw it on amazon.com. The cd can be purchased there for 9.99 and you can also hear a sampling of the song. The words are truly beautiful and they have made it easier for me to accept Cydney Paige's return to heaven ( I still cannot say death). This one is also beautiful but will make you cry. You can hear it on this site where Cydney Paige's memorial is posted on page 5.

Karen Taylor Good has a book, Angel on Wings which is sold with the cd that has this song on it. I plan on getting this one.

Precious Child

In my dreams, you are alive and well
Precious child, precious child
In my mind, I see you clear as a bell
Precious child, precious child

In my soul, there is a hole
That can never be filled
But in my heart, there is hope
'Cause you are with me still

In my heart, you live on
Always there never gone
Precious child, you left too soon
Tho' it may be true that we're apart
You will live forever... in my heart

In my plans, I was the first to leave
Precious child, precious child
But in this world, I was left here to grieve
Precious child, my precious child

In my soul, there is a hole
That can never be filled
But in my heart there is hope
And you are with me still

In my heart you live on
Always there never gone
Precious child you left too soon,
Tho' it may be true that we're apart
You will live forever... in my heart

God knows I want to hold you,
See you, touch you
And maybe there is a heaven
And someday I will again
Please know you are not forgotten until then

In my heart you live on
Always there never gone
Precious child you left too soon
Tho' it may be true that we're apart
You will live forever... in my heart

That song is beautiful...."Precious Child"
I never knew that website existed, thanks for sharing the information Karla.

The words are truly beautiful and they have made it easier for me to accept Cydney Paige's return to heaven ( I still cannot say death).

I think many of us are in the same boat on this. Death and Baby just do not coincide to me either. "Return to Heaven" is much easier to hear.... thanks again for sharing this.

I love that song. I have it on my computer. She wrote it for her friends whose baby passed.
