Lay off

My husband got laid off yesterday morning. We have 5 children here and I have been a SAHM for over 6 1/2 years. I have a part time job lined up, but gotta wait for the background check and when that gets in, I have to do the drug test. Please pray he can either find another job making what he did or that I can find at least 1 other job. Someone went and paid off all our kids' christmas stuff in layaway, so, that's a praise. We are trying to get things together for assistance and unemployment. This just really stinks. He gave up a good job to go there and we were worse off too. Now the place he left has been laying off too. I hope there is something out there. Please pray for us!

I know how you feel my hubby is getting laid off next week and this will be the 2nd time in 3 months with 2 different jobs hes been laid off from. And having a newborn coming next month is really scary. I am praying that this economy gets back to normal and everyone gets there jobs back. Hes trying to get into the coal mines because i can't work right now.

My hubby works for a car parts manufacturer and we all know how that market is right now... Last night, they called him to tell him that there simply was no work last night. This scares me so bad too because of how close to Xmas it is ... I will keep you ladies in my thoughts... To a better year in 2009.

Thanks. I go take my drug test tomorrow and then I am going to be put on the schedule. I'm just hoping and praying for a second job to fall into place. We got the paperwork for assistance in along with unemployment. I'm hoping it will all add up to enough to live on. And somehow, I don't think we will be trying in february after all. Maybe this is God trying to tell us we are done.
