I'm numb a lot. Distracting myself with Hubby and Orion. I think life is going to get a lot harder on the 5th of January when I reopen the daycare and its just stuck in the house (which normally drives me crazy), running around to exhaustion, and with just little ones around.

I understand the numbness ....it's a good thing --allows us to slow down and process the pain more meaningfully, i.e. to slowly unpack and examine the cherished memories of our babies, to cement them in our memories. It also makes it possible to do the things of life that we have to. I call it the emotion of Novacaine ....and I often retreat there still.

You still have some time left before going back to work ....good. Take care of yourself, be gentle with yourself.... when it's time to start work again, we'll all rally around and support you as much as we can.

It is too soon to return to work. *Sigh* My MIL was going to be working my maternity leave, but could only 'manage' to do the first week after Fiona was born. I worked the second week, then closed two weeks, and no way is she going to come and work these next two weeks for me, even though she agreed to it before.
