David M. Bailey is a musician and 12+ year survivor of a brain tumor that doctors said should have killed him in 6 months. A freind sent me the lyrics to one of his songs and I contacted him. In my e-mail, I told him a little bit about my daughter and NILMDTS.

He e-mailed me back and indicated he may be willing to let NILMDTS to use some of his music in support of bereaved parents or to write a new song for the organization. I responded and sent him the contact information for NILMDTS that is on the main web page.

The contact information for Mr. Bailey that is on his web page is:
po box 453
earlysville VA, 22936
434-962-8800
dmb@davidmbailey.com
http://davidmbailey.com (http://davidmbailey.com)

If NILMDTS is interested in using his music, I thought it might speed things up if the appropriate NILMDTS person contacted him.

For those interested in listening to his music for personal purposes, David's web page is www.davidmbailey.com (http://www.davidmbailey.com). He has a CD titled "Comfort" for sale on on his website that he says is a collection of songs to help greiving people. Is it $12.50 for the CD or $9.99 for the MP3 files.

He has also released about 20 other CDs that are also available for sale through CD Baby. CD Baby does not use DRM copyright protection, so please encourage this practice by not sharing music illegally.

George,

If you could ask him to send a letter (on his personal letterhead) to NILMDTS headquarters saying that he gives his permission for us to use his music (specifying which songs or saying ALL songs) along with the CD that the music is on it would speed things up tremendously. They need to have something in writing from him to get the ball rolling.
I've hooked a couple of other musicians up to NILMDTS and in the process found out the ropes . . .
After they receive that they can start the process of uploading his music to our website.

Just an addendum to Vivki's instructions, this letter can not be in the form of an email. We need to have his original signature on the letter. Also, is he under contract with a recording company? If so, he may not have the authority to grant the useage.
