I had my doc appointment today I am 35 weeks. Baby Heartrate going to town when we heard it. The doc was dancing to his heartbeat! Shes a goof! But the c section is scheduled for Jan.30th at 2pm. I asked her about if i could have 2 people in the room with me she said she hasn't known of it being done but I would have to call them and tell them why I am asking and found out she doesn't care if there are two in there. Because my mom has been in there everytime and keeps me from cursing the nurses out. And my hubby wants to go inthere also this time to see things with his own eyes. Had anyone known of 2 people being let back for a c section?? She called the hospital and told them about what happened last time when she set the c section up and said they better treat me really good because I might be a lil anxious and scared sitting there waiting. But at least I know they know now and won't think I am just crazy. Hopefully I will be calm but I doubt it as the clock ticks closer. So I got only 3 weeks friday to go. Unless he comes early but I haven't been gaining weight like crazy anymore I gained 1 1/2lbs in 2 weeks. Which I love but don't know if its good or not. But anyways hes doing good still got me in a lot of pain but i don't care as long as hes healthy. I will have 2 january kids now!!!Thanks everyone for all the support this whole time. I am probably really going to need it from now until you see posted pics of the healthy lil guy on here.

Hey Shawnna,

I know they don't normally let more than one person back with you. I don't really know why though. Probably some sort of liability thing. Although!... when I had Addison they did let my husband and my mom go back. All the nurses were flipping out and couldn't BELIEVE they were letting 2 people back with me. And I'm not sure but I think the CRNA is who made the decision. All I know is I was so glad they let them both back but I know that will probably NOT happen with this one. :( But hopefully this delivery is much different than the last. Let me know what they say!

Well,I know every hospital is different but the one I work at lets two go in "Special" circumstances. I am sure if you call and ask for the charge nurse the day of your surgery before you go to the hospital and explain your past they will have NO problem having two people for C-Section.:) We have a big heart when it comes to angels!!!!:D

I love it that the doctor was dancing to the heartbeat....that's hilarious! I get you were laughing!

Sounds to me like it's pretty important for your husband to be in with you this time around, and also important for your mom. You are in charge, here, so be a squeaky wheel until they give you what you want .....it's not an unreasonable request at all. Having your support network with you can only make things better for everyone.

It's pretty exciting to see you have a due date now!

To be honest, I've only heard of a handful of times that more than one person have been allowed to go into the c/s room. I recently had a NILMDTS session where Mom wanted to elect a c/s (due to baby's conditon) and they wouldn't let me in the OR with them. Their reason is "Possible spreading of infection with the more people in the room"

I'm thrilled they will let your hubby and mom in with you. That's wonderful!

From what I was told it is up to the anesthesiologist. My first son was born with two in the room, my second just one. They were having "inspections" that day, so I was told this wasn't allowed.

It was a bummer.

I was told both times it was up to hospital and doctor regulation. Both times was allowed only one person - my hubby. I wanted an extra person, too, so my husband wouldn't have to worry about taking pics and could just enjoy!

thanks, I am going to go tour up there at the hospital again the week i am supposed to deliver so I can ask them about having 2 people in there. I really hope they will let me. I feel so big all I wanna do is sleep I only have 20days left today and I am getting so nervous when u of think of days instead of weeks. I am ready for him to be here and all this worrying and staying up all night worrying to pay off and everything be perfect.
