Amnio is in the morning!!!

Ok ladies the time is finally almost here! My amnio is 9 hours away! I have no clue how I am going to sleep tonight but I guess I should probably go try! Please pray that her lungs are ready and all goes well! I am gonna go try to sleep I will let you all know how it goes!

Praying all goes well too. They did an amnio on my second child because they wouldn't induce at 37 1/2 weeks without making sure his lungs were mature. Well, the amnio said he wasn't mature so they sent me home. Well, he decided he was ready and I went into labor and had him 3 days later....his lungs were fine. Good luck. Keep us posted.

OK the amnio is finally over and it was no big deal! The numbing shot stung a little and then I did not even feel the actual amnio needle! Thanks for all the support ladies! I will let you know as soon as we get the results!

Ok so we got our amnio results this afternoon. Audri's little lungs are not quite ready yet but the test said they are in a transitional stage which I guess means they are almost done. We were hoping to be able to move the induction up to today but after getting the results we decided against it. We are sticking to the Sunday night plan. They said at that point there will only be a 5% chance that she will go to the NICU. I am going out of my mind so they scheduled an NST at the hospital tomorrow so I can be seen everyday until I am admitted. Please pray that both me and this little one make it to Sunday because my stress and anxiety levels are through the roof! I just need this little girl in my arms already!

I know the waiting game is nerve racking, but the best place for her little lungs to develop is inside of you. It's going to be worth the wait if she doesn't have to spend much time in the NICU...she'll be in your arms soon! :)

I was so incredibly frightened and anxious prior to the birth of my son, my ob eventually put me on Ambien towards the end just to get me to relax and sleep a couple hours. She felt my anxiety was far more harmful than the Ambien. I know exactly how you feel. I would get up all hours of the night (literally) and do everything I could to get him to move just to make sure he was still there. Poor kid, he hardly got any sleep those last few weeks!! As my dear father would say to me, "Keep on keepin' on". You're almost there.
