*********Updated below, see reply #18***********

I try not to ask for much prayer but today I am in dire need of asking.

Last year, one of my first sessions, was with a Mom (Alina) who lost her little baby girl. Since then, I've become very close with this family. Alina's Mom became an affiliated photographer for NILMDTS.
Alina is currently 29 weeks pregnant. They are taking the baby via c/section right now. I'm on my way up there to be with them. The dr's are saying that the baby (a little boy) will do better in the NICU rather than inside Mommy. (long story as why but it is medically)

Mommy has been taking a blood thinner and by having a c/section we are very worried about her blood loss as well as her little boy being born at 29 weeks.

PLEASE please pray for this family. Linda (grandma to baby) called me and and said Alina asked me to come up asap so I'm coming to give support to their family. I will update as soon as I can but it may not be until late tonight or in the morning.

Thank you so much in advance!
Jennifer

James Michael was born today at 2:31pm via c-section. Mom and Baby are doing well! I'm soooo thrilled. I got to go in and see him for about 3 minutes... lol I got couple of photo's though (through the glass) but they are better than no pic's.... keep him in your prayers though, he's going to be in the NICU until May.

I forgot to say his stats... He is 1 pound 15 ounces and 12.5 inches long.

I am crying as I finally get onto the computer and see all the love and prayers you all have had for us and am so appreciative. Obviously I am grandma to this little one, and I am exhausted and ready for some well earned sleep. Alina is getting crabby, but other than that she is doing well. Will possibly come and stay with me for a couple of weeks to recoup before she goes to her apartment. Baby James was delivered yesterday at 2:31 pm pst weighing 1 pound 15 ounces and 12 1/2 inches long. His apgar scores were 7 and 9... yea! Alina had been given steroid shots two nights in a row, "just in case" and so glad that she was as the breathing tube has been taken out of James and he is breathing on his own now! He is getting 1 cc of mom's milk every 6 hours. He is a little jondice and under the lights, but it's felt that the jondice will be gone in a week. I was told he has a really good chance of survival although with all that we have been thorugh this year Alina and I are still quite concerned.
Doing what we do, we tend to see and know more which can make things more difficult than they need to be.
Thank you so much for the prayers and please continue to remember us, James is expected to be in the hospital till sometime in May. Will keep you posted.
Thank you again and love to you all!

We are so appreciative of your prayers and support, thank you so much. Baby James is doing very well. He has no breathing tubes, only a feeding tube and is given 1/2 teaspoon of mother's milk each 3 hours. The doctor says he acts like a newborn rather than a premie. He lost down to 1 lb. 11 oz. and is now 1 lb. 12 oz. they weren't able to weigh him last night due to other issues in the NICU. They also said that he will have ups and downs and will get sick along the way, but we are rebuking that! Please continue to pray for him and I will keep you updated. Mom is doing really well and making it the 38 miles to the hospital each day. What a trooper after a c-section.

I will continue my prayers. I am so glad to hear that he is fighting hard. That is awesome to hear he is off of the breathing tubes! I am glad mom is doing well also.

Thank you for your continued concern and prayers for James. He is now almost three weeks old and weighs 2 pounds 11 ounces and is doing really well. His IV's have been taken out. Mom is still going into Spokane every day to be with him and do at least one of his care times as well as Kangaroo care.
