Just wanted to update all of you on our meeting with the funeral home.
We personally meet with the Director of the Funeral Home & Cemetery Grounds and felt that the meeting was a very positive one.(We were there for two hours). He was very displeased to hear the lack of care in his staff maintaining the cemetery grounds and how un-empathetic and careless the Grounds-Keepers were in handling the personal items left on the markers from other loved one. He confessed that since Katherine incident he has come to realize that there have been many things that his staff had been keeping from him especially the untimely manner of placing new markers on the graves, (Katherine’s took over 3 weeks to be placed after arriving at the cemetery). He reassured us that he was going to take matter into his own hands and had already lined up several meeting with his staff to correct all matters in hand, not only Katherine neglect but as well as to the management of the cemetery grounds. Many times in the depth of a negative a positive thing comes out of it, and that is how we see things at this time, with the money that has been refunded to us we will be able to 1st. establish Katherine Elizabeth’s non-profit foundation here in Miami, Florida, and also apply for the 501 (c) (3). The foundation will help in the journey of those parent’s who are given a prenatal negative or fatal diagnose in finding hope and support. We are also going to help this young mother who loss her daughter Natalie back in Oct. of last year purchase a marker for her grave, Sandy has not been able to afford one since she does not have enough money. This is just another affirmation from God that we need to provide help to other parent that will journey through the sad road that we have journeyed through with our precious Katherine Elizabeth.
My heart is so greatful to all of you who had my husband and I in your prayers, thank you.
Liz :)
