Cheryl or anyone:
Since i had a prenatal diagnosis I worked with many area organizations in Seattle during my pregnancy. I have contacts with the socials workers for the NICUs,local childrens hospice people, and specialists at the university hospital, whom I worked with during my pregnancy.
Anyhow, I was wondering if I can get brochures for Now I lay me down to Sleep sent directly to them if I give someone some addresses.
I know it can be hard to get the word out about this organization and I have some ins because i literalley was sent all over the place during my pregancy with Tyler because he had trisomy 18. So, i have contacted some of those people and they are very interested in receiving brochures. This way they can let the patients they work with know about the services.
I could also deliver them if you cannot ship them. But it would just be a little easier on me to ship them so I dont have to drive to a ton of different places and pay for parking at hospitals. But i am willing because i strongly believe in this organization and what they offer. And I feel its a way I can honor Tyler too.

I am also very interested in some brochures. I talked with Cheryl about some but I am unable to find them on the web page. I also e-mailed Sam when I first signed up, I’m new to this and was unable to post for a few days. I have a lot of resources and would be able to get parents, doctors, nurses, etc.... in the Northwest Oklahoma area aware of this wonderful organization if I can get my hands on those brochures. I also will be attending a MAPPA meeting on the ninth of July so I will be surrounded (literally) by photographers. And I know I can help get the word out about NILMDTS.

Hi Erin
I live in Buckley, about 1 hour south of you. I have family up in Edmonds and am up in that neck of the woods quite often. I could lend a hand if you need any help.
Thanks

Hello Everyone,
We have changed the way we handle the brochures. Because we are getting the brochures printed at no charge we needed to control who was ordering them so we do not take advantage and lose this wonderful privilege.
Currently, we are looking for photographers who are willing to be an area coordinator. These volunteers will be in charge of ordering brochures for their local NILMDTS members.
If you are interested please read this link for more information.

I look forward to working with you!
Happiness,

Sam,
The thread that you are referencing to is located in the Photographer's Area, which is only accessible to Affiliated Photographers. So, to save confusion, I'm pasting the message that you provided the link for in your message:
Hello Everybody,
Below you will see a list of current area Coordinators. If you are interested in becoming a coordinator or you have contacted me and do not see your name listed, please send an e-mail to me spexpressionsinc that includes:
Your Name
e-mail address
Contact phone number
Area (by city or region) or the Hospitals that you are serving.
We would also like to list your additional photographers name and e-mail addresses.
I will update this list on a regular basis so please check back often.
Your Responsibilities will include:
1- AREA SERVICE
Coordinators should chose and area that they feel comfortable that they can handle.
Example: Sandy Puc'
Serving Denver Metro
2-AREA RECRUITMENT
Coordinators will help recruit addition photographers to assist within each area. These photographers should be listed on the brochure.
3-NILMDTS PHOTOGRAPHER PROMOTION
We would like to have the coordinators contact the local and regional photography guilds and ask about donating display space to NILMDTS. The coordinator would then be responsible for recruiting photographers to man the display. In addition we will create a short DVD presentation that can be given at the meetings that will explain our work and how to become involved.
4- LOCAL MEDIA-
The coordinators will send out annual press release to promote community education about NILMDTS
5-BROCHURE DISTRIBUTION
Coordinators will order all brochures for their local area. They will be responsible for keeping the hospitals/Hospice locations stocked and have a good working relationship with the hospitals. As the awareness expands, coordinators will find additional photographers that are willing to share theses responsibilities.
6-WELCOME LIASON
When a new photographer joins NILMDTS. His/Her information will be forwarded to the appropriate area coordinator. The Coordinator will then make a personal phone call to welcome the newest member. This will give you a chance to explain the work, introduce the forum, answer questions and share important information. We will eventually have a welcome packet that will be sent out.

Erin-
I know I have been such a slacker. I'm sorry. Email me your address and I will bring some by and just leave them at your door if you aren't home.

Erin-
I know you didn't imply, I just feel bad because you've been asking me for those for so long and we haven't arranged a time yet to meet. I do have them all sitting in a box for you.

Jen are the local coordinator for our area? If so I would be very appreciative if you were to get me a few of the brochures and anything else you may think is relevant! This is all new to me, so I hope I don't step on anyone's toes.

No, I think Lori is the coordinator for WA. I promised Erin brochures months ago after I photographed her son.
I do have lots of extra brochures- but I don't get to Mt. Vernon very often. If you ever get down to Everett you're welcome to call me and we can arrange for you to stop by and pick some up.

Jen,
If you could drop off the brochures that would be great. Or we can meet somewhere if that makes it easier for you.

Some really good software that will not distort your words or pictures to make brochures, newsletter etc PDF format is openoffice.org it is wonderful software free!!
HAIN uses it for our brochures, our newsletters, our fliers (which is great too) Its worth having. All members can get it and design their own fliers or whatever.
Its another good idea I thought I would pass along to you!!
Hope this helps, Mary
It offers more then just a writer, it offers a bunch of stuff alot of office documents offer BUT FREE
