Boden Truett is a big brother to...Declan Simon

I feel bad for not posting my recent pregnancy journey. Some strange feeling loomed over me at the thought of it, so I stayed behind the scenes as to not cause any sort of "bad" things to happen if I boasted my pregnancy. Call it crazy, I know.

Anyway, about 2 weeks before Boden would have turned 1 year old, I found out I was expecting. That was in the middle of October 2008. Over the last 8 months, I was being looked after with the utmost detail and caution. Nothing got by undetected...though it was a textbook perfect pregnancy. Our newest, and fourth(4th) son was born June 9, 2009. He did stay in the NICU the whole time and was discharged 2 days after I was...that was scary enough considering my term loss 18 months ago. Declan had respitory issues that needed resolving and they were. I was 36 weeks 6 days at the time of his birth.

Declan Simon was 6 lbs. 5 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long and just perfect.

We am thrilled beyond words to have him here, happy and healthy...and yes, I saddened that Boden is not here with us but I know that he is watching over us. It has been an emotional ride for sure. Their big brothers, Aidan and Calston, are ecstatic that they finally have a baby brother here and not in Heaven.

Congratulations on the birth of Declan. I know how hard pregnancy after a loss is (I had 2 boys after we lost our first born Isabelle). Enjoy every moment with him. I am sure Boden is smiling down on you all. Congratulations again.

Congratulations on your secret pregnancy and the birth of Boden's little brother, Declan!

I can understand why you didn't tell us....there are still many people we haven't told about our pregnancy. Not that it's a secret or anything.... but just wanting to lay low until everything is as safe as can be.

I'm so pleased about little Declan, and thankful you navigated the scary NICU world safely ....Praise the Lord for this new life!

May I ask how his name is pronounced? Do post a picture sometime soon. :)

Thank you all for the wonderful words. It means alot to me. Declan is pronounced DECK LYNN...but as one complete word...make sense?

We are so very proud of him, and of all of his brothers, including our angel, little Boden. I have to resize the photos I have to post them....believe me, I want to share my miracle with the world and with you all, because IT IS POSSIBLE TO CREATE LIFE AFTER SUCH A TRAGEDY...Declan is truly a gift from above...and we all know who is there looking after all of us...
