Subject: Dear Sandy/Article about your network
Message: I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful person you are for starting this network. I just finished reading an article on the network in the June issue of PDN and was moved to write.
I'm a photographer (though not "professional" YET) and I gave birth to a
stillborn boy back in 2001. While still recovering from the shock of the loss and emergency C-section the hospital staff offered to take a few pictures for us. These snapshots were all I was going to have to remember Matthew by. It wasn't until later (2 weeks) that we discovered that the person doing the shooting really had no idea what they were doing and the photos were not salvageable. I was devastated.
It is with this very personal experience in mind that I am writing to say "Thank You" to you and the generosity of your network. I aspire to joining your network in the future and while it isn't much, I will be making a donation to help your network continue it's very thoughtful mission.
