I know a lot of us have been pretty sad these last few days so I had an idea. What if we told a funny/happy story about being pregnant with our angels or something that happened with our angels? I'll start!!

On April 1st I was just about 9 months pregnant with Maya. I'm a BIG practical jokester so I thought of the BEST joke to pull on my husband. He came home from work that morning and said he needed to go to the bank, which was perfect..gave me time to be my rotten self :). ANYWAY, I poured water all over the floor and down my pants (I had to make it look real! lol) and got on the phone with my friend (I always call a friend when I'm freaking out about something...once again, making it look real lol) and when he walked through the door I just stood there with a "shocked" look on my face and said "My water broke!" He FREAKED OUT!! LOL He started running around grabbing coats and even started running our two other daughters out to the van and was pulling me along to go to the hospital. I couldn't help myself, I busted up laughing. At first he said I mean, but he had a little smile on his face. I did good I think lol.

Okay, now your turn!!

One thing I do remember so clearly, I was laying in bed one night watching TV and that was usually her time to get active so I feel her in there just lightly moving around and she got kind of still so I figured she was drifting off to sleep and before I knew it she kicked me SO HARD I felt like I moved 2 inches across the bed. LOL It actually scared me she kicked me so hard, I was not expecting it. But that was my little girl always bouncing all over the place like a little break dancer. I kept telling my husband that she was gonna give us a run for our money ;) I bet if she was here now she would be getting into all kinds of stuff. That is one thing I will never forget :)

I think this is a wonderful idea. When I was pregnant with Cassandra she was always a crazy baby giving me alot of personality. I felt her very early in the pregnancy and through the whole pregnancy she was always crazy. When I would go in labor and delivery with all my pain and symptoms I would always have a baby girl who would be striving for everyone to know she was in there by hitting the machine every time someone was talking by her, moving around so they could not get her on the monitor and much more. The story I remember with all this was with her brother(our four year old son, Sammy). He would always play doctor on me and pretend he was the baby doctor. When he would play he would pretend to listen to Cassandra's heart with his stethscope from his play kit. When he would do this she would always hit or kick him to say hello to him. She also always did this every time Sammy would come over and talk to her or me to say hi to her big brother. She also would go crazy as my husband would come behind me and rub his hands on my stomach and she would go crazy because she always knew when it was daddy's hands touching her and not mommy. She was always a bundle of personality and I am so blessed to be able to always know how she was going to be personality wise once she was born. I never got to meet this personality when she was out as she passed before delivery but I always remember how she made her self be known and I always knew she would be the little girl who always wanted to be the center of attention.

Very cute stories My husband would flip out if I said my water broke and did that as he would not know what to do ....

Okay...this is a little embarrassing...but anyway ;)
After my water broke, I was laying in the hospital bed. You know, I had all those cords and monitors attached to my stomach. So there was a heart rate monitor and movement monitor and we had the volume turned way up. I didn't know it would make a noise, so I passed some gas...Well, there was a big echo on the speaker. Everyone thought it was little Austin moving around and said, "Wow, that was a big one." I just smiled and didn't tell everyone what it really was until later. :p

So, here goes my story....I was about 32 weeks pregnant with Murray and it was the middle of the night. Well, at this time, we were very, very sad already, knowing what the outcome for Murray's life would probably be and that we were two weeks away from a scheduled delivery. With that said, our dogs (two black labs) are like our children and bring us a great source of comfort. We were allowing them to sleep in the bed with us, atleast for a few hours. Well, our little girl liked to sleep up there as long as she could. I guess at some point she had gotten down and gotten on her bed - probably because of what she had done in our bed!! Next thing I know, Bart (my husband) sits straight up in bed and literally shouts "DID YOUR WATER BREAK"? Feeling all around the foot of the bed. To that, knowing that I was perfectly dry, reached over to his boxers and said "DID YOU PEE YOUR PANTS"? We both busted out laughing until we realized that Sadie - our little angel - had peed the bed and left to get on her dry doggy bed! We then had to strip the bed - so gross - but so funny!! Not at the time though, but a good laugh now!! Thanks for starting this thread - I needed to remember something funny about Murray's pregnancy this week!! Keep the funnies coming!!

LOL, these stories are SO funny! I love this thread!

I'll never forget the morning my water really did break. It was like 5:30 am I rolled over and felt a gush of water. The hubby was still sleeping (naturally :) ) and the more I walked the more water kept coming...I called the doctor and she told me to come in. When I woke my husband up and said it was time to go, he looked at me and asked what I meant. I told him our baby was coming and my water had broken...He sits up in bed and looks at me and says...."ARE YOU SURE???" I stared at him and said.. "No, I'm standing here right now in a puddle of pee. I like to pee on myself." It was so funny! He got right up and ran around the house like a mad man for a minute!

Well, we were blessed to have 2 weeks with Bethany in the NICU, and during the first week she was quite alert.

I always thought it was funny when her daddy held her. Whenever I held her, she would melt into me and just sleep. Whenever Dave held her it was totally different! She would always have her eyes wide open, moving her hands and feet, and looking around and up at him when he made funny noises. Her daddy was definately her play thing!

I love this thread .....such a great idea to share some happy stories!

A couple of stories. Before we knew what we were having, my 5 yr old son, Aidan, always said he wanted a baby brother. When we found out what we were having, he told me that we could just take her to the baby store and get a baby brother instead.

After he became ok with having a baby sister, Aidan would always come up and talk to my belly. He would even sing "You are my sunshine", which is the song we've sang to him every night since he was born. It was so cute!

haha this is a great idea! all of these stories are sooo funny.

Here's one of mine. My little sister was 7 and had never felt a baby move inside someones belly before so I put her hand on my belly and she asked if Brooklyn would kick hard and I told her no, a few seconds after she put her hand on my belly Brooklyn kicked the hardest she had ever kicked before haha my sister must have jumped 3 feet in the air and screamed EWWWW! and then she turned and ran to the house haha. She would never touch my belly again after that, she swore up and down that Brooklyn just didnt like her and thats why she kicked so hard haha.

Little Alexis was trying to be a kick boxer. When ever she was awake she would kick me down in hip and punch me up in my rib cage at the same time. She loved her brother too. Every time he would come near her she would go crazy. I remember one time i was holding Dominic and she kept kicking him over and over for like 5 min. once i put him down she went right to sleep.

Brittany I love that story! I used to call Maya my little Kung Fu master lol. Everynight when I'd come home from work I'd lay down and play a game on the TV and she would just go nuts kicking me lol.

I remember prom night with my oldest. We went to Chris' that day to get ready so that she wouldn't be completely embarrassed by her younger siblings when her date was dropped off. She didn't want me to help much with her getting ready so I went outside and started going insane on the shrubs. They were overgrown to the TOP of the windows. Chris thought that I had lost my mind. I had on a non pregnant tank top so it was tight on my belly and I was standing a bit away from the shrubs looking at my handy work. Chris was standing on the porch at one time grabbing some water and I noticed that he was staring at me almost laughing (like that doesn't normally make a big pregnant woman paranoid). I was sweating so I didn't know if he was standing there thinking my water had broke or what, because he was just so deadset in his stare and giggle. So with the electric hedgers in my hand I look at him and give him that 'what?' and he couldn't answer but starting laughing, at which point I did too. Then he looked down specifically at my belly and said 'look'. And when I did you could see almost a complete profile of Jennifer. I looked like I had a doll stuffed up my shirt, lol. He pointed out her profile and that she had been moving like she was doing karate (he does karate) but because of the hedgers being electric I never felt her moves. He said he loved seeing her like that. I will always remember that day and that evening. It was a wonderful time for us. Thanks Missy, I needed to remember that, but at the same time, it also makes me a bit sad. (Does that make any sense?)

i too always thought of isabel as my "wild child" she was going to be a handful, stubborn like her parents. we didn't get to see much of izzy's personality in the 7 days with her, but on her first night in the hospital the doctors gave her a seditive so she would sleep. it was just my husband and i in her room while we waited for the nurses to give her the meds. while we waited we were able to see her eyes open. she just kept looking at us, wouldn't take her eyes off of us. we asked the nurse what time she would be getting the seditive and the nurse told us that she had the meds almost an hour ago and should be sleeping! little stinker didn't want to miss out on time with mommy and daddy and fought the meds so she could spend more time with us. so thank you izzy for being my wild child!!!

I was soooo big when I was pregnant....about 7 months into my pregnancy. I measured 44 cm top to bottom and everywhere I went everyone always asked me...how many babies are in there?! I thought they were all nuts because I hadnt been pregnant before and had no idea that I wasnt supposed to be that big so when I answered just one sweet girl they looked at me like I was some kind of monster. Thinking back on it and seeing full term pregnant women I was huge! But I loved every single inch of my round giant belly......

My biggest memory w/ Lillee Sophia was when I got big enough to hold plates of food on my belly. EVERYTIME I put a plate of food on my belly, she'd kick it off. A cup of something to drink? Knocked it off. My cellphone? Onto the floor it went a sailin'. So my memory of her is all the spaghetti stains, grape juice stains, & strawberry jelly stickies on my carpet from the "things" invading her territory...

Steph mine was like a waterfall! I was laying in bed at like 9 pm watching that **** interview with the freakin octomom and got up at like 9:30 to use the restroom and sure enough as I sat down.....woooooosshh. I yelled "Ryan I think we may have a problem..." Ill never forget that. I was so angry at that stupid lady I swear she put me into labor because I was so pissed at her.

This was a great idea ... it's so neat to hear about all of our angels' personalities.

Tyler was also a very stubborn baby, very much like his mommy! I teach first grade and my kiddos always loved to touch my tummy and watch Tyler kick.

One of my little boys loved to hug me and one day he hugged me really tight. Tyler must have not liked to be squeezed, so he kicked very hard. The little boy jumped back and said, "Hey he kicked me!" I just laughed and told him that Tyler didn't like that he squeezed me so tightly. After that he always hugged me gently, Tyler liked that a lot better!

When Maya was in the hospital, the only clue we had about her was her ventilator monitor....we could see if she took breaths on her own....the ones the machine did for her were green and the ones she did on her own would be purple. The last few days when she was getting tired, we would go visit her and the screen would show all green. Sadly, we would wait to hold her and then almost everytime as soon as she'd hit my lap, the screen would hop up purple. I LOVED THAT. I like to think that she knew that I was there. She really got going with her Daddy though...I think because her Daddy could only come every other day....on the days he came she would work so hard. She even moved the first time when he held her (yes, I will admit, I was JEALOUS lol). Those are my happy moments with her that I will NEVER forget. Did I mention I got to hold her for the very first time on Mothers Day? She was 5 days old :)

When i was about 28 weeks pregnant, I went to get a 3D Ultrasound, I didn't know at that point that I was having a girl. I was told to have sugar before the appointment so baby would be active. Well I had a large Ice capp, and then had half of a fruit smoothy from Booster Juice. She Slept through the whole 1 hour appoinment. We got to watch her sleep instead of move around. When I was leaving the office I took a small candy off the counter and a few mins after eating the candy, she went crazy, wouldn't stop kicking and pushing... lol...
She never ever moved when you wanted her too. She never moved for grandma or her aunt, when they wanted her too...stubborn stubborn girl!!!
