Well....we had our first appointment today. I'm just 6 weeks so you really couldn't see anything. There was a flicker where the heartbeat will be. So theres a baby in there and its alive! Two very good things. :)
We are very excited but its also been a very emotional day today for me. After the appointment my husband had already gone cuz he needed to get back to work so I was walking to my car and just started crying. I realized later that it was probably because this is the first ultrasound I've had since losing Alexis. The last ultrasound I had was where they were showing me my baby's heart was not beating. :( Its just so emotional. As the doctor was doing the ultrasound today those first few seconds are agonizing where he doesn't say anything and you don't know what he is seeing. He started showing me where the sac was etc, and I was soooo scared he was going to say, "but i'm sorry, there is no baby there". I finally said "And theres a baby in there?"....I think to him it was a given for me with the sac there but for me I just needed to know that. Anyway...I'm rambling...its just such a rollercoaster time. But we are excited! The next 8 months feel like an ETERNITY though... *sigh*
Here is our little bean! :) You can't really see much but he/she is there, inbetween the two crosspoints!
